LEVRON & VINCENOT
The discussions began on their fishing expeditions… At the water’s edge they put the world to rights and their ambitious plans grew. Before long before the young winemaker and the entrepreneur started searching for a vineyard to develop together. In 2002 the two men took over Château Princé and then in 2006 Château de Parnay. Drawing strength from their sincerely held values, they now cultivate 50 hectares of vineyards to produce exceptional wines through environmentally friendly practices.
Mathias Levron: “My approach to wine can be summed up as follows: good grapes for a good wine. We decided our vineyard would be organic and that we would use a mindful tillage that forces us to check the sky, to know each part of our vineyards and to select our plants with precision… I am a craftsman at heart and my watchwords are rigour and mastery of savoir-faire to bring out the characteristics of the terroir. Respecting the earth requires the luxury of time: our cuvées are barrel-aged for 24 to 30 months in the depths of our troglodyte cellars”.
