""AN EXTRAORDINARY TASTE, FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY WINE… IN A CLASS OF ITS OWN IN THE LOIRE…""

The colour retains its garnet tones despite its age and the production technique used, giving just a hint of its maturity in places. The Grolleau noir grapes harvested overripe on 23 November 2011 bring notes of stewed black fruits and spices (pepper, clove), with the four-year barrel ageing resulting in a rancio touch of plums with armagnac and cherries with brandy.

Its heady palate is enveloped by its gentleness and sweetness, with a lively finish of warm and captivating alcohol that transports us to the Roussillon with its Maury and Banyuls wines… A wonderful freshness and invigorating acidity then take us back to the banks of the Loire of our northern region… an amazing wine to discover with a chocolate cake.

Gourmet pairings with dark chocolate cake, strawberries dipped in warm dark chocolate, baked blue cheese served on pain d’épices, duck breast accompanied by an Anjou guignolet cherry liqueur sauce… melon and smoked ham or melon and cherries…
